Pro Drive Driving School FAQ’s
Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-certified by the Maryland DMV to offer driver training courses in Maryland?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently accredited to offer driving training courses in Maryland.  We suggest you contact the Maryland DMV to make sure a particular driving school is certified before you enroll in their driver training course.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will Pro Drive Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Baltimore Maryland behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Pro Drive Driving School know what your preference is before registering for their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I live in a rural area, that has a lot of dirt roads and bumpy terrain. Will Pro Drive Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a rural area, chances are very good that a local driving school like Pro Drive Driving School will want you to be trained in driving specific to the local area's terrain.
Now that I'm 14, will Maryland allow me to get an instruction permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for an instruction permit.  We recommend that your contact the Maryland DMV office or a Maryland-approved driver training institute such as Pro Drive Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Maryland.
Can I take Pro Drive Driving School's driver training course before taking a Baltimore Maryland defensive driving classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Maryland's laws say.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Maryland's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you contact Pro Drive Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
Maryland law says that I must sign up to take a driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Baltimore Maryland. Is this something that Pro Drive Driving School can help me with?
Yes, Pro Drive Driving School offers the Maryland-approved driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Pro Drive Driving School directly.
What steps do I have to take in order to get a Maryland drivers license in Baltimore Maryland?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  Pro Drive Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training portion in Maryland.  Please contact Pro Drive Driving School for more information.

What does the law in Maryland say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  Maryland law states that new drivers enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training course as a prerequisite to getting their first driver's license.
Is it all right if I sign up with a behind-the-wheel training school like Pro Drive Driving School prior to my obtaining my learner's permit?
In most states, you are required to have already gotten your learner's permit before you sign up to take your driver training course like the one offered by Pro Drive Driving School.  We suggest you contact either Pro Drive Driving School to find out more information.
