Apollo Driving School FAQ’s
Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-certified by the Michigan DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Michigan?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently certified to offer driving training courses in Michigan.  We suggest you contact the Michigan DMV to make sure a particular driver training school is accredited before you enroll in their driver training course.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for taking a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What if I don't know how to operate a manual-shift automobile? Does Apollo Driving School have automatic-shift vehicles that I can drive when I do my behind-the-wheel training?
If you're taking a Allen Park Michigan behind-the-wheel training class, chances are you don't know how to drive ANY vehicle yet-- stick or automatic.  However, if you prefer an automatic vehicle then you should tell Apollo Driving School that prior to enrolling in the course in order to make sure they can accommodate you.
What happens to those of us who live in a non-urban area? Will Apollo Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Apollo Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
I'm turning 14 in a few weeks. Can I get a learner's permit to drive in Michigan after my 14th birthday?
Most likely, no.  Most states (though not all) have laws which require that you be at least 15 or 15 1/2 before to be eligible to apply for an instruction permit.  Nevertheless, you may wish to contact the Michigan DMV office or a Michigan-certified driving school such as Apollo Driving School to find out for certain what the minimum driving age is in your local area.
Can I take Apollo Driving School's driver training course before taking a Allen Park Michigan drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Michigan's laws say.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Michigan's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact Apollo Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
If I need to sign up to take a Allen Park Michigan driver training program, can Apollo Driving School help?
Yes.  Apollo Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses in Allen Park Michigan.  For more information about the type of driver training Apollo Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Michigan will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now mandate all new, young drivers to complete a safe driving classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  Apollo Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training requirement in Michigan.  Please contact either Apollo Driving School or the Michigan DMV for more information.
Is a driver training course required in Allen Park Michigan for me to get a drivers license?
The law in Michigan requires that all drivers complete a behind-the-wheel training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Apollo Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Can I register for a Michigan driver training course prior to having my Michigan learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a instruction permit before being permitted to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should contact a driving school like Apollo Driving School and ask for more information.
