Mission Driving School FAQ’s
Is Mission Driving School certified by the California DMV to offer driver training courses?
Although we include Mission Driving School in our directory of driving schools for Hayward California, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not Mission Driving School is licensed by the California DMV.  You should contact Mission Driving School directly and ask them if you are thinking about signing up to take their Hayward California driver training class.
I've been told that either of my parents can monitor my driver training, so I don't have to attend a Hayward California driving school like Mission Driving School to fulfill my driver training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the California DMV or a state-approved driving school like Mission Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
I can't operate a stick-shift. Will Mission Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training on an automatic-shift vehicle?
We recommend that you contact Mission Driving School and ask them if you can do your behind-the-wheel training using a vehicle that has an automatic shift before signing up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Mission Driving School be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a remote area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Mission Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and other types of rugged terrain.  You may wish to contact Mission Driving School to find out exactly what their behind-the-wheel training course includes before enrolling in their training course.
Are 14-year-olds allowed to obtain a learner's permit in California?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the youngest age for which to hold an instruction permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving instruction company like Mission Driving School to find out what the minimum age for driving is in California.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Hayward California or do I also have to successfully complete a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the California's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to register for a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
I have to take a driver training class in Hayward California before California will give me my driver's license. Does Mission Driving School offer this type of course?
Mission Driving School does offer the driver training course in Hayward California that is required by the State of California.  You will need to contact Mission Driving School directly for more information about the behind-the-wheel courses they offer and their class schedules.
What do I need to do to get a driver's license in Hayward California?
It depends on California's laws, but most states require new, teen-aged drivers to complete a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  You may want to call Mission Driving School to see if they offer the driver training course that would meet the regulations set forth by the California DMV.
Is hands-on driver training required in California in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle?
Absolutely.  All new drivers in California are required to take an approved behind-the-wheel training course before they can be issued a license to independently drive a motor vehicle.
Do I need to have my instruction permit before I sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course like the one that Mission Driving School offers?
You will need to contact Mission Driving School or the California DMV to find out if you are allowed to sign up with a driving school like Mission Driving School before receiving your California instruction permit.
