West Hills Driving School FAQ’s
How do I know if West Hills Driving School is licensed by California's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include West Hills Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether West Hills Driving School is licensed by the State of California.  We recommend that you either contact West Hills Driving School directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if West Hills Driving School is a certified driver training school.
I've been told that either of my parents can supervise my driver training, so I don't have to attend a Coalinga California driving school like West Hills Driving School to fulfill my behind-the-wheel training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the California DMV or a state-approved driving school like West Hills Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
What if I don't know how to drive a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does West Hills Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a stick-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a manual or an automatic, you probably should call West Hills Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your signing up to take their driver training course.
What happens to those of us who live in a non-urban area? Will West Hills Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a rural location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like West Hills Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
Now that I'm 14, will California allow me to get a learner's permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for an instruction permit.  We recommend that your contact the California DMV office or a California-approved driver training institute such as West Hills Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in California.
Will I be required to register for both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in Coalinga California?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now require new teen-aged drivers to register for both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
California law says that I must sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get licensed to drive in Coalinga California. Is this something that West Hills Driving School can help me with?
Yes, West Hills Driving School offers the California-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact West Hills Driving School directly.
What do I need to do to get a California drivers license in Coalinga California?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a safe driving classroom course and a driver training course.  West Hills Driving School may be able to help you meet the driver training portion in California.  Please contact West Hills Driving School for more information.

Am I obligated to take a Coalinga California behind-the-wheel training course?
All drivers in California are required to take a driver training course.  You should contact West Hills Driving School to learn more about the courses they offer.
Will California allow me to enroll in a driver training course before I actually get my learner's permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your instruction permit before you sign up with a behind-the-wheel training course.
