Elite Driver Training FAQ’s
How do I know if Elite Driver Training is licensed by California's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include Elite Driver Training's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Elite Driver Training is certified by the State of California.  We recommend that you either contact Elite Driver Training directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if Elite Driver Training is a licensed driver training school.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in California?
Each state has its own rules regarding driver training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for attending a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the California DMV to find out for sure.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will Elite Driver Training have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Fresno California behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Elite Driver Training know what your preference is before registering for their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are unpaved roads and rugged terrain all around my house. How do I know if Elite Driver Training will train me on how to drive in a rural area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Elite Driver Training is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Elite Driver Training will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rugged terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Elite Driver Training to find out exactly what's included in their driver training course before you sign up with them.
Are 14-year-olds eligible to obtain a instruction permit in California?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the youngest age for which to receive an instruction permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving instruction company like Elite Driver Training to find out what the minimum age for driving is in California.
Can I take Elite Driver Training's driver training course before taking a Fresno California defensive driving classroom course or online course?
It depends on what California's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on California's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact Elite Driver Training directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
I have to take a behind-the-wheel class in Fresno California before California will give me my driver's license. Does Elite Driver Training offer this type of course?
Elite Driver Training does offer the driver training course in Fresno California that is required by the State of California.  You will need to contact Elite Driver Training directly for more information about the driver courses they offer and their class schedules.
What steps do I have to take in order to get a California drivers license in Fresno California?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a safe driving classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Elite Driver Training may be able to help you fulfill the driver training portion in California.  Please contact Elite Driver Training for more information.

Is a driver training course a prerequisite in Fresno California for me to get a drivers license?
The law in California requires that all drivers complete a driver training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Elite Driver Training directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Can I sign up to take a California-certified behind-the-wheel training course even if I don't have my California learners permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that require a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a California learners permit before registering in a California driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Elite Driver Training and ask for more information.
