Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School FAQ’s
How do I know if Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School is licensed by California's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School is licensed by the State of California.  We recommend that you either contact Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School is a licensed driver training school.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a San Francisco California behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a manual-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School know what your preference is before registering for their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain area, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
Now that I'm 14, will California allow me to get an instruction permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for a learner's permit.  We recommend that your contact the California DMV office or a California-approved driver training institute such as Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in California.
Am I required to take a San Francisco California classroom or online drivers education course before I can sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course through Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School?
This requirement varies by state but most states do require new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should ask Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School if they offer one or both programs.
I am looking to enroll in a San Francisco California drivers education course. Can Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School assist me with this?
Yes.  Drivers education courses are available in San Francisco California through Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School.  Please contact Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a California driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to register for both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the California DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to meet in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is a behind-the-wheel training course required in San Francisco California for me to get a drivers license?
The law in California requires that all drivers complete a behind-the-wheel training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Is it possible to enroll in a California-approved behind-the-wheel training course before I obtain my California instruction permit?
It depends on what the specific laws are in California, however most states require first-time drivers to receive an instruction permit before signing up for a driver training course.  We recommend you contact a driving school such as Nu Tech Driving & Traffic School to obtain more information.
