Uniworld Driving School FAQ’s
Can you tell me if Uniworld Driving School is a licensed driver training school in California?
Although Uniworld Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach driver training courses in California.  We recommend either calling Uniworld Driving School directly or the California DMV to find out whether or not Uniworld Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that are state-approved.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driver training school instructor like the ones they have at Uniworld Driving School?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the California DMV or a licensed driving school like Uniworld Driving School to find out if California allows driver training with a parent.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if Uniworld Driving School makes me train on a stick-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....manual OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Uniworld Driving School and let them know before you enroll in their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether Uniworld Driving School can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
I live in a rural area, that has a lot of dirt roads and rugged terrain. Will Uniworld Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a remote area, chances are very good that a local driving school like Uniworld Driving School will want you to be taught how to drive safely on the local area's terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Uniworld Driving School or the California DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in California.
Do I have to take both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in San Francisco California to get my California driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers enroll in a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like Uniworld Driving School and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
I'm required to take a behind-the-wheel training course in San Francisco California. Do you know if Uniworld Driving School offers defensive driving classes in San Francisco California?
Yes, Uniworld Driving School does offer defensive driving courses in San Francisco California.  For more information about their class schedule and how/when to sign up for one of their driver training courses, please contact Uniworld Driving School directly.
What are the requirements in San Francisco California for getting a drivers license?
It depends on your state's laws, however in many states, teen-agers must complete both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  Uniworld Driving School may offer an approved behind-the-wheel training course which you could take.  Please contact Uniworld Driving School for information regarding their available classes and how to go about signing up for them.
What does the law in California say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  California law states that new drivers take an approved driver training course as a prerequisite to obtaining their first driver's license.
Do I have to receive my instruction permit in California before I am allowed to register for a behind-the-wheel training course like the one Uniworld Driving School gives its students?
Laws vary from state to state, however most states do require that you obtain a learner's permit before you can register for a driver training course like the one that Uniworld Driving School gives its students.
