IBF Traffic School FAQ’s
Since IBF Traffic School appears on your website, does this mean they are approved by the California DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driver training schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the California DMV.  You may want to call IBF Traffic School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for taking a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle? Will IBF Traffic School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of automobile--stick-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact IBF Traffic School and let them know before you enroll in their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in the country where driving on unpaved roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will IBF Traffic School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a rural area, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as IBF Traffic School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact IBF Traffic School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I receive my learner's permit in California?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as IBF Traffic School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in California.
Do I have to take both a defensive driving classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Dinuba California to get my California driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers sign up to take a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like IBF Traffic School and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
I'm required to take a driver training course in Dinuba California. Do you know if IBF Traffic School offers behind-the-wheel training classes in Dinuba California?
Yes, IBF Traffic School does offer defensive driving courses in Dinuba California.  For more information about their class schedule and how/when to sign up for one of their driver training courses, please contact IBF Traffic School directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before California will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now mandate all new, young drivers to register for a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  IBF Traffic School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training requirement in California.  Please contact either IBF Traffic School or the California DMV for more information.
Is there a law in California that says I have to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in California requires that all teen-agers enroll in an approved driver training course before receiving a California driver's license.
Can I register for a California behind-the-wheel training course prior to having my California learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a learners permit before being permitted to register for a driver training course.  You should contact a driving school like IBF Traffic School and ask for more information.
