UTAH  DRIVER’S EDUCATION

Summary of Utah Graduated Licensing Law

Utah has a four stage licensing process for minors.
  1. Instruction Permit (at least age 15 & 9 months)
  2. Practice Permit (at least age 15 & 9 months) We recommend our DriverEdToGo Video- to use during the Practice Permit & Learner Permit stages. Shows the parent how to teach collision-free driving habits and provides unique teaching tools (mirrors, checklists, videos, audio instruction series, etc.).
  3. Learner Permit (at least age 16)
  4. Operator’s License (at least age 16)
