Natomas Driving School FAQ’s
Natomas Driving School's address and phone number is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is an approved driver training school in California?
Even though we provide a list of driver training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is certified by the California DMV to offer driver training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Natomas Driving School directly or check with the California DMV to find out for sure if Natomas Driving School is a licensed school.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving instructor in California, so taking a Sacramento driver training course like the one Natomas Driving School offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the California DMV or a licensed driver training school like Natomas Driving School and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a manual-shift? Does Natomas Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a stick-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call Natomas Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your signing up to take their driver training course.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will Natomas Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a rural area, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Natomas Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact Natomas Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I receive my learner's permit in California?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Natomas Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in California.
Can I take Natomas Driving School's driver training course before taking a Sacramento California defensive driving classroom course or online course?
It depends on what California's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on California's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact Natomas Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
If I need to enroll in a Sacramento California driving school, can Natomas Driving School help?
Yes.  Natomas Driving School offers driving instruction in Sacramento California.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Natomas Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
What do I need to do to get a California drivers license in Sacramento California?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  Natomas Driving School may be able to help you meet the behind-the-wheel training portion in California.  Please contact Natomas Driving School for more information.

Is a driver training course a prerequisite in Sacramento California for me to get a drivers license?
The law in California requires that all drivers complete a behind-the-wheel training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Natomas Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Can I enroll in a California-certified driver training course even if I don't have my California learners permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that mandate a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a California instruction permit before registering in a California driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Natomas Driving School and ask for more information.
