Massick Driving School FAQ’s
Is Massick Driving School an approved driving school in California?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in California.  We highly recommend that you contact Massick Driving School directly or the California DMV to find out for sure if Massick Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of California.
I've been told that either of my parents can supervise my driver training, so I don't have to attend a Colfax California driving school like Massick Driving School to fulfill my behind-the-wheel training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the California DMV or a state-approved driving school like Massick Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
I have no clue how to drive a stick-shift vehicle. What happens if Massick Driving School makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....stick OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Massick Driving School and let them know before you enroll in their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you'll know for sure whether Massick Driving School can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Massick Driving School be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a rural area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Massick Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of rugged terrain.  You may wish to contact Massick Driving School to find out exactly what their driver training course includes before registering for their training course.
Can 14-year-olds get instruction permits to drive in California?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for a learner's permit at 15 or 15 1/2.  However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to get an instruction permit.  You may want to contact the California DMV or a California-approved driver training school like Massick Driving School to find out what the minimum age to drive is in California.
Do I have to complete a Colfax California drivers education classroom course or online course before registering for one of Massick Driving School's behind-the-wheel training courses?
Each state has its own rules, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a driver training course plus either a drivers education classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online defensive driving course.  You may want to ask Massick Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
California's DMV has told me that I need to take a driver training course. Do you know if Massick Driving School offers this course or not?
Massick Driving School does offer the behind-the-wheel training course that California requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses Massick Driving School offers, we recommend that you contact Massick Driving School directly.
What do I need to do to get a California drivers license in Colfax California?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a safe driving classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Massick Driving School may be able to help you meet the behind-the-wheel training portion in California.  Please contact Massick Driving School for more information.

Is a driver training course required in Colfax California for me to get a drivers license?
The law in California requires that all drivers complete a driver training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Massick Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Is it okay for me to register for a driver training class in California before I receive my California learners permit to drive?
Probably not.  Most states require first-time drivers to have their instruction permit before they are allowed to enroll in a driver training program.  You should contact a driving instruction company like Massick Driving School and request more information.
