FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS AT-A-GLANCE:
Minimum Age for Learner Permit 15 years
Learner Permit Holding Period 12 months (no traffic violations may be committed during this time)
Minimum amount of supervised driving 50 hours, including 10 at night
Minimum Age for Driver License 16 years

Unsupervised driving rules 16-year-old driver's license holders must drive supervised between 11pm and 6am, and 17-year-old driver's license holders must drive supervised between 1am and 5am. The supervisor must be a licensed driver, who's at least 21 years old. Learner's Permit Holders may NEVER drive without supervision.
Passenger rules With a learner's permit, you may drive with passengers so long as you have a 21-year-old licensed driver sitting next to you in the front passenger seat.
