Learn 2 Drive FAQ’s
Can you tell me if Learn 2 Drive is a certified driving school in Arizona?
Although Learn 2 Drive is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently approved to teach behind-the-wheel training courses in Arizona.  We recommend either calling Learn 2 Drive directly or the Arizona DMV to find out whether or not Learn 2 Drive offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving instructor in Arizona, so taking a Tucson driving school course like the one Learn 2 Drive offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the Arizona DMV or a licensed driver training school like Learn 2 Drive and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
Do you know if Learn 2 Drive will let me take my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a manual-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a manual OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Learn 2 Drive and see if they can accommodate you before signing up to take their driver training course.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on unpaved roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will Learn 2 Drive be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a remote location, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Learn 2 Drive will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact Learn 2 Drive directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Are 14-year-olds eligible to obtain a instruction permit in Arizona?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the youngest age for which to hold a learner's permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school like Learn 2 Drive to find out what the minimum age for driving is in Arizona.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Tucson Arizona or do I also have to enroll in a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the Arizona's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
I am looking to register for a Tucson Arizona drivers education course. Can Learn 2 Drive assist me with this?
Yes.  Drivers education courses are available in Tucson Arizona through Learn 2 Drive.  Please contact Learn 2 Drive directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Arizona driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to enroll in both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Arizona DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
What does the law in Arizona say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  Arizona law states that new drivers successfully complete an approved behind-the-wheel training course as a prerequisite to getting their first driver's license.
Is it okay for me to register for a driver training class in Arizona before I receive my Arizona learners permit to drive?
Probably not.  Most states require first-time drivers to have their learners permit before they are allowed to register for a behind-the-wheel training program.  You should contact a driving school like Learn 2 Drive and request more information.
