Stop & Go Driving School FAQ’s
Stop & Go Driving School's contact information is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is an approved behind the wheel training school in Arizona?
Even though we provide a list of driver training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is certified by the Arizona DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Stop & Go Driving School directly or check with the Arizona DMV to find out for sure if Stop & Go Driving School is a licensed school.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Arizona?
Each state has its own rules regarding driver training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for taking a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Arizona DMV to find out for sure.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Stop & Go Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Tucson Arizona driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Stop & Go Driving School know what your preference is before signing up to take their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
What happens to those of us who live in a remote area? Will Stop & Go Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Stop & Go Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
Now that I'm 14, will Arizona allow me to get an instruction permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for an instruction permit.  We recommend that your contact the Arizona DMV office or a Arizona-approved driver training institute such as Stop & Go Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Arizona.
Do you know if the laws in Arizona require new teen-aged drivers to register for a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to register for a behind-the-wheel training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course.
I have to take a drivers education course in Tucson Arizona. Can I meet this requirement by registering with Stop & Go Driving School?
Yes, Stop & Go Driving School offers defensive driving courses in Tucson Arizona.  You will need to contact Stop & Go Driving School directly to get more information on the types of courses they offer and when to register for a class.
I live in Tucson Arizona. What requirements must I meet to be able to get my first Arizona driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Arizona, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a safe driving classroom course and a driver training course.  Stop & Go Driving School may offer courses which would meet the driver training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
Am I required to take a Tucson Arizona driver training course?
All drivers in Arizona must take a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should contact Stop & Go Driving School to learn more about the courses they offer.
Is it all right if I sign up with a driver training school like Stop & Go Driving School prior to my obtaining my instruction permit?
In most states, you are required to have already gotten your instruction permit before you sign up to take your driver training course like the one offered by Stop & Go Driving School.  We suggest you contact either Stop & Go Driving School to find out more information.
