All-Star Driving School, Inc. FAQ’s
All-Star Driving School, Inc.'s address and phone number is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is an approved behind the wheel training school in Texas?
Even though we provide a list of driver training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is licensed by the Texas DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact All-Star Driving School, Inc. directly or check with the Texas DMV to find out for sure if All-Star Driving School, Inc. is a licensed school.
Will the Texas DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Texas DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in Texas.
Do I need to tell All-Star Driving School, Inc. that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift car.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift car!  We recommend that you ask All-Star Driving School, Inc. if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift automobile before you sign up to take their driver training course.
I live in a remote area, that has a lot of dirt roads and rugged terrain. Will All-Star Driving School, Inc. train me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a rural area, chances are very good that a local driver training school like All-Star Driving School, Inc. will want you to be trained in driving specific to the local area's terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as All-Star Driving School, Inc. or the Texas DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Texas.
Am I required to take a Dallas Texas classroom or online drivers education course before I can register for a behind-the-wheel training course through All-Star Driving School, Inc.?
This requirement varies by state but most states do require pre-licensed drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course.  You should ask All-Star Driving School, Inc. if they offer one or both programs.
I have to register for a safe driving class in Dallas Texas before Texas will give me my driver's license. Does All-Star Driving School, Inc. offer this type of course?
All-Star Driving School, Inc. does offer the safe driver training course in Dallas Texas that is required by the State of Texas.  You will need to contact All-Star Driving School, Inc. directly for more information about the behind-the-wheel courses they offer and their class schedules.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Texas driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to complete both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a safe driving classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Texas DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is hands-on driver training required in Texas in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle?
Absolutely.  All new drivers in Texas are required to take an approved behind-the-wheel training course before they can be issued a license to independently operate a motor vehicle.
Is it okay for me to enroll in a driver training class in Texas before I receive my Texas instruction permit to drive?
Probably not.  Most states require first-time drivers to have their learners permit before they are allowed to enroll in a driver training program.  You should contact a driving instruction company like All-Star Driving School, Inc. and request more information.
