All-American Driving School FAQ’s
All-American Driving School is listed on your website as a driving school which offers behind-the-wheel training courses. How do I know if All-American Driving School is a licensed school in Texas?
While we include a list of driving schools on our website for your convenience, we cannot guarantee that every single one of them is currently licensed by the Texas DMV.  We suggest you contact All-American Driving School directly or the Texas DMV to find out if All-American Driving School is a fully-accredited driver training school.
Could I just have my mother or father teach me how to drive instead of paying money to take a professional behind-the-wheel training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to do your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will All-American Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Mesquite Texas behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let All-American Driving School know what your preference is before enrolling in their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I live in a rural area, that has a lot of dirt roads and rugged terrain. Will All-American Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a remote area, chances are very good that a local driving school like All-American Driving School will want you to be trained in driving specific to the local area's terrain.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to receive my instruction permit in Texas?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as All-American Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Texas.
Do I have to complete a Mesquite Texas drivers education classroom course or online course before enrolling in one of All-American Driving School's behind-the-wheel training courses?
Each state has its own rules, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a defensive driving classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online drivers education course.  You may want to ask All-American Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
Does All-American Driving School provide a hands-on driver training course like the one that is required by the State of Texas? I need to register for one in order to obtain my driver license.
All-American Driving School offers driver training courses which are approved by the Texas DMV.  You may want to contact All-American Driving School directly for more information about their courses and how to go about signing up for one.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Texas driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to complete both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a safe driving classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Texas DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to meet in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Do I have to take a Mesquite Texas driver training course in order to get a driver's license?
Yes.  All drivers in Texas must successfully complete an approved behind-the-wheel training course in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.  Please contact All-American Driving School for information on the types of behind-the-wheel training courses they offer in Mesquite Texas.
Will Texas allow me to register for a driver training course before I actually receive my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your learner's permit before you sign up with a driver training course.
