Pasadena Driving School FAQ’s
Is Pasadena Driving School licensed by the Texas DMV to offer driver training courses?
Although we include Pasadena Driving School in our directory of driving schools for Pasadena Texas, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not Pasadena Driving School is certified by the Texas DMV.  You should contact Pasadena Driving School directly and ask them if you are thinking about signing up to take their Pasadena Texas driver training class.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Texas?
Each state has its own laws regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for taking a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Texas DMV to find out for sure.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will Pasadena Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Pasadena Texas driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a manual-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Pasadena Driving School know what your preference is before registering for their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
What happens to those of us who live in a remote area? Will Pasadena Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a rural location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Pasadena Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular area.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to receive my instruction permit in Texas?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as Pasadena Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Texas.
I live in Pasadena Texas. Does the law say I have to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do mandate that new, teen-aged drivers successfully complete both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
Texas's DMV has told me that I need to take a behind-the-wheel training course. Do you know if Pasadena Driving School offers this course or not?
Pasadena Driving School does offer the behind-the-wheel training course that Texas requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses Pasadena Driving School offers, we recommend that you contact Pasadena Driving School directly.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Texas driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to enroll in both a driver training course in addition to a safe driving classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Texas DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is there a law in Texas that says I have to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Texas mandates that all teen-agers take an approved behind-the-wheel training course before receiving a Texas driver's license.
Can I sign up to take a Texas driver training course prior to having my Texas learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a learners permit before being permitted to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should contact a driving school like Pasadena Driving School and ask for more information.
