A-Plus Driving School FAQ’s
A-Plus Driving School's contact information is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is an approved driver training school in Texas?
Even though we provide a list of driver training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is certified by the Texas DMV to offer driver training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact A-Plus Driving School directly or check with the Texas DMV to find out for sure if A-Plus Driving School is a licensed school.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle? Will A-Plus Driving School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of car--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact A-Plus Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in a rural area where driving on unpaved roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will A-Plus Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as A-Plus Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact A-Plus Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I apply for my learner's permit in Texas?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as A-Plus Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Texas.
Do you know if the laws in Texas require new teen-aged drivers to enroll in a driver training course in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to take a driver training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.
Texas law says that I must sign up to take a hands-on driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Spring Texas. Is this something that A-Plus Driving School can help me with?
Yes, A-Plus Driving School offers the Texas-approved driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact A-Plus Driving School directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Texas will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now mandate all new, young drivers to sign up to take a safe driving classroom or online course as well as a driver training course.  A-Plus Driving School may be able to help you meet the behind-the-wheel training requirement in Texas.  Please contact either A-Plus Driving School or the Texas DMV for more information.
Is a behind-the-wheel training course a prerequisite in Spring Texas for me to get a drivers license?
The law in Texas requires that all drivers complete a behind-the-wheel training course as part of their driver education.  You should contact A-Plus Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Do I have to obtain my instruction permit in Texas before I am permitted to sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course like the one A-Plus Driving School gives its students?
Laws vary from state to state, however most states do require that you hold a instruction permit before you can sign up to take a driver training course like the one that A-Plus Driving School gives its students.
