Georgia Driving School FAQ’s
Is Georgia Driving School a certified driving school in Georgia?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer driver training courses in Georgia.  We highly recommend that you contact Georgia Driving School directly or the Georgia DMV to find out for sure if Georgia Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of Georgia.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to attend a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to do your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Georgia Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Macon Georgia driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Georgia Driving School know what your preference is before registering for their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
What happens to those of us who live in a non-urban area? Will Georgia Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Georgia Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
Can 14-year-olds get learner's permits to drive in Georgia?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for an instruction permit at 15 or 15 1/2.  However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to obtain an instruction permit.  You may want to contact the Georgia DMV or a Georgia-approved driver training school like Georgia Driving School to find out what the minimum age to drive is in Georgia.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in Macon Georgia?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to sign up for both a drivers education course as well as a driver training course.
Does Georgia Driving School provide a behind-the-wheel training course like the one that is required by the State of Georgia? I need to complete one in order to obtain my driver license.
Georgia Driving School offers driver training courses which are approved by the Georgia DMV.  You may want to contact Georgia Driving School directly for more information about their courses and how to go about signing up for one.
Exactly what type of driver training do I need in Macon Georgia before I can get my Georgia driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to sign up to take a safe driving classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as Georgia Driving School and ask if they offer a Georgia-approved  behind-the-wheel training course which would satisfy Georgia's driver's education requirements.
Do I have to take a Macon Georgia behind-the-wheel training course in order to get a driver's license?
Yes.  All drivers in Georgia must enroll in an approved driver training course in order to receive a driver's license.  Please contact Georgia Driving School for information on the types of behind-the-wheel training courses they offer in Macon Georgia.
Is it possible to register for a Georgia-approved driver training course before I obtain my Georgia learners permit?
It depends on what the specific laws are in Georgia, however most states require first-time drivers to receive a learners permit before signing up for a behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend you contact a driving school such as Georgia Driving School to obtain more information.
