Bruce's Driving School FAQ’s
Is Bruce's Driving School a licensed driving school in Idaho?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Idaho.  We highly recommend that you contact Bruce's Driving School directly or the Idaho DMV to find out for sure if Bruce's Driving School offers hands-on driving courses that have been approved by the State of Idaho.
Will the Idaho DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Idaho DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in Idaho.
Do I need to tell Bruce's Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to operate a stick-shift automobile.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask Bruce's Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift car before you register for their driver training course.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my behind-the-wheel training with Bruce's Driving School include learning how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to know how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from Bruce's Driving School will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Idaho?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit.  We recommend that you contact the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Bruce's Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Idaho.
I live in Pocatello Idaho. Does the law say I have to register for both a driver ed classroom or online course and a driver training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do mandate that new, teen-aged drivers take both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
I am looking to sign up to take a Pocatello Idaho drivers education course. Can Bruce's Driving School assist me with this?
Yes.  Drivers education courses are available in Pocatello Idaho through Bruce's Driving School.  Please contact Bruce's Driving School directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
What are the prerequisites in Pocatello Idaho for getting a drivers license?
It depends on your state's laws, however in many states, teen-agers must complete both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  Bruce's Driving School may offer an approved behind-the-wheel training course which you could take.  Please contact Bruce's Driving School for information regarding their available classes and how to go about signing up for them.
Am I required to take a Pocatello Idaho driver training course?
All drivers in Idaho are required to take a driver training course.  You should contact Bruce's Driving School to learn more about the courses they offer.
Will Idaho allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually receive my learner's permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you obtain your learner's permit before you sign up with a behind-the-wheel training course.
