Daily Driving School FAQ’s
Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-certified by the Illinois DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Illinois?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently accredited to offer driving training courses in Illinois.  We suggest you contact the Illinois DMV to make sure a particular driving school is accredited before you sign up to take their driver training course.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a manual-shift? Does Daily Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll allow me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a manual or an automatic, you probably should call Daily Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
I live in a very remote area, where there are mountains and a lot of unpaved roads. Do you know if Daily Driving School teaches students how to drive in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in urban areas?
Since you live in a remote area, a local driving school such as Daily Driving School will tailor your behind-the-wheel training to handle the conditions in your area.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Daily Driving School or the Illinois DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Illinois.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Chicago Illinois?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to successfully complete both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
I have to take a behind-the-wheel class in Chicago Illinois before Illinois will give me my driver's license. Does Daily Driving School offer this type of course?
Daily Driving School does offer the behind-the-wheel training course in Chicago Illinois that is required by the State of Illinois.  You will need to contact Daily Driving School directly for more information about the behind-the-wheel courses they offer and their class schedules.
What are the prerequisites in Chicago Illinois for getting a drivers license?
It depends on your state's laws, however in many states, teen-agers must complete both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  Daily Driving School may offer an approved driver training course which you could take.  Please contact Daily Driving School for information regarding their available classes and how to go about signing up for them.
Am I required to take a Chicago Illinois behind-the-wheel training course?
All drivers in Illinois are required to take a driver training course.  You should contact Daily Driving School to learn more about the courses they offer.
Can I register for a Illinois-licensed behind-the-wheel training course even if I don't have my Illinois learners permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that require a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a Illinois instruction permit before registering in a Illinois driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Daily Driving School and ask for more information.
