Allstar Driving School FAQ’s
Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-certified by the Maryland DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Maryland?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently accredited to offer driving training courses in Maryland.  We suggest you contact the Maryland DMV to make sure a particular driver training school is licensed before you register for their driving course.
I've been told that either of my parents can monitor my behind-the-wheel training, so I don't have to attend a Hyattsville Maryland driving school like Allstar Driving School to fulfill my behind-the-wheel training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the Maryland DMV or a state-approved driving school like Allstar Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Allstar Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Hyattsville Maryland behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a manual-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Allstar Driving School know what your preference is before registering for their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in a rural area where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will Allstar Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a rural area, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Allstar Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact Allstar Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Are 14-year-olds permitted to apply for a instruction permit in Maryland?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the youngest age for which to hold an instruction permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school like Allstar Driving School to find out what the minimum age for driving is in Maryland.
Can I take Allstar Driving School's behind-the-wheel training course before taking a Hyattsville Maryland defensive driving classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Maryland's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Maryland's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact Allstar Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
Maryland law says that I must enroll in a driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Hyattsville Maryland. Is this something that Allstar Driving School can help me with?
Yes, Allstar Driving School offers the Maryland-approved driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Allstar Driving School directly.
How do I get a drivers license in Hyattsville Maryland?
In most states, pre-licensed teens are required to complete both a classroom drivers education course and a driver training course.  Allstar Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training portion in Maryland.
What are the laws in Maryland concerning driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  Maryland law states that new drivers enroll in an approved driver training course as a prerequisite to getting their first driver's license.
Do I need to have my learner's permit before I sign up to take a driver training course like the one that Allstar Driving School offers?
You will need to contact Allstar Driving School or the Maryland DMV to find out if you are allowed to sign up with a driver training school like Allstar Driving School before receiving your Maryland learner's permit.
