Missouri Driving School FAQ’s
Is Missouri Driving School an approved driving school in Missouri?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Missouri.  We highly recommend that you contact Missouri Driving School directly or the Missouri DMV to find out for sure if Missouri Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of Missouri.
I've been told that either of my parents can monitor my driver training, so I don't have to attend a St. Louis Missouri driving school like Missouri Driving School to fulfill my driver training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the Missouri DMV or a state-approved driving school like Missouri Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
I have no clue how to drive a stick-shift vehicle. What happens if Missouri Driving School makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....stick OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Missouri Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether Missouri Driving School will be able to accommodate you before you pay them any money.
Since I live way out in a rural area where driving on dirt roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will Missouri Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a rural area, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Missouri Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact Missouri Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Missouri?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit.  We recommend that you contact the Missouri Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Missouri Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Missouri.
Do you know if the laws in Missouri require new teen-aged drivers to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to successfully complete a driver training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course.
I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course in St. Louis Missouri. Can I meet this requirement by signing up with Missouri Driving School?
Yes, Missouri Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses in St. Louis Missouri.  You will need to contact Missouri Driving School directly to get more information on the types of courses they offer and when to sign up for a class.
Exactly what type of driver education do I need in St. Louis Missouri before I can get my Missouri driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to sign up to take a safe driving classroom course as well as a driver training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as Missouri Driving School and ask if they offer a Missouri-approved  driver training course which would satisfy Missouri's driver's education requirements.
Do I have to take a St. Louis Missouri behind-the-wheel training course in order to get a driver's license?
Yes.  All drivers in Missouri must successfully complete an approved driver training course in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.  Please contact Missouri Driving School for information on the types of behind-the-wheel training courses they offer in St. Louis Missouri.
Can I register for a Missouri-approved behind-the-wheel training course even if I don't have my Missouri instruction permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that require a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a Missouri learners permit before registering in a Missouri driver training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Missouri Driving School and ask for more information.
