Fuller Driving School FAQ’s
Is Fuller Driving School certified by the North Carolina DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
Although we include Fuller Driving School in our directory of driving schools for Raleigh North Carolina, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not Fuller Driving School is licensed by the North Carolina DMV.  You should contact Fuller Driving School directly and ask them if you are thinking about enrolling in their Raleigh North Carolina driver training class.
Will the North Carolina DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the North Carolina DMV to find out if your behind-the-wheel driving may be done by your parents in North Carolina.
Do I need to tell Fuller Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to operate a manual-shift car.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask Fuller Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift automobile before you register for their driver training course.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my behind-the-wheel training with Fuller Driving School include being taught how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for urban driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from Fuller Driving School will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in North Carolina?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit.  We recommend that you contact the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Fuller Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in North Carolina.
Will I be required to sign up for both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Raleigh North Carolina?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to sign up for both a drivers education course as well as a driver training course.
Does Fuller Driving School provide a driver training course like the one that is required by the State of North Carolina? I need to register for one in order to obtain my driver license.
Fuller Driving School offers hands-on driver training courses which are approved by the North Carolina DMV.  You may want to contact Fuller Driving School directly for more information about their courses and how to go about signing up for one.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a North Carolina driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to complete both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the North Carolina DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to satisfy in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is it necessary for me to sign up for a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get my first North Carolina driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in North Carolina must complete a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.
Will North Carolina allow me to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you obtain your instruction permit before you enroll in a driver training course.
