Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?

Do I need to tell Driving School, Inc that I need to train with an automatic-shift car? I don't know how to operate a manual-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile! We recommend that you ask Driving School, Inc if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle before you register for their driver training course.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will Driving School, Inc include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Driving School, Inc will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
If I'm 14, can I get an instruction permit to drive in Virginia?
Possibly. However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get a learner's permit. We recommend that you contact the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Driving School, Inc to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Virginia.
