Bay City Driving School FAQ’s
Is Bay City Driving School an approved driving school in Wisconsin?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Wisconsin.  We highly recommend that you contact Bay City Driving School directly or the Wisconsin DMV to find out for sure if Bay City Driving School offers hands-on driving courses that have been approved by the State of Wisconsin.
Do you know if I can complete my driver training with my mother or father instead of attending a behind-the-wheel training course like the ones offered by Bay City Driving School?
Some states allow teen-agers to complete their driver training with their parents instead of attending a professional driver training school.  We recommend that you contact the Wisconsin DMV or Bay City Driving School directly to find out if Wisconsin allows parent-taught driver training.
Do I need to tell Bay City Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift automobile.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift car!  We recommend that you ask Bay City Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle before you sign up to take their driver training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will Bay City Driving School teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain area, chances are that a local driving school like Bay City Driving School will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Bay City Driving School or the Wisconsin DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Wisconsin.
Am I required to take a Green Bay Wisconsin classroom or online drivers education course before I can register for a behind-the-wheel training course through Bay City Driving School?
This requirement varies by state but most states do require pre-licensed drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based defensive driving course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should ask Bay City Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
I'm required to take a driver training course in Green Bay Wisconsin. Do you know if Bay City Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training classes in Green Bay Wisconsin?
Yes, Bay City Driving School does offer defensive driving courses in Green Bay Wisconsin.  For more information about their class schedule and how/when to enroll in one of their behind-the-wheel training courses, please contact Bay City Driving School directly.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Wisconsin driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to enroll in both a driver training course in addition to a safe driving classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Wisconsin DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to meet in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is a behind-the-wheel training course required in Green Bay Wisconsin for me to get a drivers license?
The law in Wisconsin requires that all drivers complete a behind-the-wheel training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Bay City Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Is it okay for me to enroll in a driver training class in Wisconsin before I receive my Wisconsin learners permit to drive?
Probably not.  Most states require first-time drivers to have their learners permit before they are allowed to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training program.  You should contact a driving school like Bay City Driving School and request more information.
