Reliance Driving School FAQ’s
Is Reliance Driving School licensed by the Wisconsin DMV to offer driver training courses?
Although we include Reliance Driving School in our directory of driving schools for Milwaukee Wisconsin, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not Reliance Driving School is certified by the Wisconsin DMV.  You should contact Reliance Driving School directly and ask them if you are thinking about registering for their Milwaukee Wisconsin driver training class.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Wisconsin?
Each state has its own rules regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for enrolling in a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Wisconsin DMV to find out for sure.
I can't operate a manual-shift. Will Reliance Driving School allow me to do my driver training on an automatic-shift vehicle?
We recommend that you contact Reliance Driving School and ask them if you can do your driver training using a vehicle that has an automatic shift before enrolling in their behind-the-wheel training course.
I live in a small rural community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my behind-the-wheel training with Reliance Driving School include learning how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to know how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the driver training you receive from Reliance Driving School will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to receive my instruction permit in Wisconsin?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Reliance Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Wisconsin.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Milwaukee Wisconsin or do I also have to take a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the Wisconsin's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to register for a driver training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
I have to register for a driver training class in Milwaukee Wisconsin before Wisconsin will give me my driver's license. Does Reliance Driving School offer this type of course?
Reliance Driving School does offer the driver training course in Milwaukee Wisconsin that is required by the State of Wisconsin.  You will need to contact Reliance Driving School directly for more information about the driver courses they offer and their class schedules.
I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin. What requirements must I meet to be able to get my first Wisconsin driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Wisconsin, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a safe driving classroom course and a driver training course.  Reliance Driving School may offer courses which would fulfill the behind-the-wheel training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin and would like to apply for my first driver's license. Do I need to take a behind-the-wheel training course before I can be licensed?
Wisconsin law mandates that all first-time drivers enroll in an approved driver training program before receiving their Wisconsin driver's license.  Reliance Driving School may offer a driver training course that you are looking for.  Please contact Reliance Driving School directly for complete information as to what types of behind-the-wheel training courses they offer.
Can I register for a Wisconsin-certified behind-the-wheel training course even if I don't have my Wisconsin learners permit yet?
Most likely, no.  Most states have laws that mandate a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a Wisconsin learners permit before registering in a Wisconsin behind-the-wheel training course.  It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Reliance Driving School and ask for more information.
