Len Scaduto Driving School FAQ’s
Since Len Scaduto Driving School is listed on your website, does this mean they've been approved by the Illinois DMV to offer driver training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-approved by the Illinois DMV.  You may want to call Len Scaduto Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
Do I need to tell Len Scaduto Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to drive a manual-shift car.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask Len Scaduto Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift car before you sign up to take their driver training course.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on dirt roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will Len Scaduto Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a non-urban environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Len Scaduto Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact Len Scaduto Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Illinois?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Len Scaduto Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Illinois.
Do you know if the laws in Illinois require new teen-aged drivers to successfully complete a driver training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to successfully complete a behind-the-wheel training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course.
I'm required to take a behind-the-wheel training course in Oak Lawn Illinois. Do you know if Len Scaduto Driving School offers defensive driving classes in Oak Lawn Illinois?
Yes, Len Scaduto Driving School does offer defensive driving courses in Oak Lawn Illinois.  For more information about their class schedule and how/when to sign up for one of their driver training courses, please contact Len Scaduto Driving School directly.
What do I need to do to obtain a driver's license in Oak Lawn Illinois?
It depends on Illinois's laws, but most states require new, teen-aged drivers to sign up to take a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  You may want to call Len Scaduto Driving School to see if they offer the behind-the-wheel training course that would meet the regulations set forth by the Illinois DMV.
Is it necessary for me to enroll in a driver training course in order to get my first Illinois driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in Illinois are required to take a state-approved driver training course.
Will Illinois allow me to sign up to take a driver training course before I actually get my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your instruction permit before you register with a behind-the-wheel training course.
