A Better First Nevada License FAQ’s
Is A Better First Nevada License licensed by the Nevada DMV to offer driver training courses?
Although we include A Better First Nevada License in our directory of driving schools for Henderson Nevada, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not A Better First Nevada License is licensed by the Nevada DMV.  You should contact A Better First Nevada License directly and ask them if you are thinking about registering for their Henderson Nevada driver training class.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to take a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to do your hands-on driver training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
Do you know if A Better First Nevada License will let me take my behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a manual-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a stick OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact A Better First Nevada License and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their behind-the-wheel training course.
I live in a very rural area, where there are mountains and a lot of dirt roads. Do you know if A Better First Nevada License teaches students how to drive in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in urban areas?
Since you live in a remote area, a local driving school such as A Better First Nevada License will tailor your driver training to handle the conditions in your area.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as A Better First Nevada License or the Nevada DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Nevada.
I live in Henderson Nevada. Does the law say I have to take both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do require that new, teen-aged drivers successfully complete both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
I'm required to take a driver training course in Henderson Nevada. Do you know if A Better First Nevada License offers behind-the-wheel training classes in Henderson Nevada?
Yes, A Better First Nevada License does offer defensive driving courses in Henderson Nevada.  For more information about their class schedule and how/when to enroll in one of their defensive driving courses, please contact A Better First Nevada License directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Nevada will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to enroll in a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  A Better First Nevada License may be able to help you meet the driver training requirement in Nevada.  Please contact either A Better First Nevada License or the Nevada DMV for more information.
Is it necessary for me to take a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get my first Nevada driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in Nevada must complete a state-approved driver training course.
Will Nevada allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your learner's permit before you enroll in a driver training course.
