National Driving And Traffic School FAQ’s
National Driving and Traffic School is listed on your website as a driving school which offers driver training courses. How do I know if National Driving and Traffic School is a licensed school in Nevada?
While we include a list of driving schools on our website for your convenience, we cannot guarantee that every single one of them is currently licensed by the Nevada DMV.  We suggest you contact National Driving and Traffic School directly or the Nevada DMV to find out if National Driving and Traffic School is a fully-accredited driving school.
Could I just have my mother or father teach me how to drive instead of paying money to enroll in a professional behind-the-wheel training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to do your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
Do you know if National Driving and Traffic School will let me complete my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a stick-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a stick OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact National Driving and Traffic School and see if they can accommodate you before signing up to take their driver training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads everywhere. Will National Driving and Traffic School teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain area, chances are that a local driving school like National Driving and Traffic School will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain.
Can I apply for my Nevada instruction permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the minimum age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driver training school like National Driving and Traffic School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Nevada.
Can I take National Driving and Traffic School's driver training course before taking a Las Vegas Nevada drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Nevada's laws say.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Nevada's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact National Driving and Traffic School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
Nevada law says that I must successfully complete a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get licensed to drive in Las Vegas Nevada. Is this something that National Driving and Traffic School can help me with?
Yes, National Driving and Traffic School offers the Nevada-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact National Driving and Traffic School directly.
I live in Las Vegas Nevada. What are the requirements for me to be able to get my first Nevada driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Nevada, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  National Driving and Traffic School may offer courses which would fulfill the behind-the-wheel training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
What are the laws in Nevada concerning driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  Nevada law states that new drivers take an approved driver training course as a prerequisite to getting their first driver's license.
Do I need to have my instruction permit before I sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course like the one that National Driving and Traffic School offers?
You will need to contact National Driving and Traffic School or the Nevada DMV to find out if you are allowed to enroll in a driving school like National Driving and Traffic School before obtaining your Nevada instruction permit.
