DUI Driving School FAQ’s
DUI Driving School's address and phone number is listed on your webpage. How can I find out if it is an approved behind the wheel training school in Georgia?
Even though we provide a list of behind-the-wheel training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is licensed by the Georgia DMV to offer driver training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact DUI Driving School directly or check with the Georgia DMV to find out for sure if DUI Driving School is a licensed school.
I've been told that either of my parents can supervise my driver training, so I don't have to attend a Georgia driving school like DUI Driving School to fulfill my behind-the-wheel training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the Georgia DMV or a state-approved driving school like DUI Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will DUI Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Georgia behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a manual-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let DUI Driving School know what your preference is before enrolling in their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on unpaved roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will DUI Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a non-urban environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as DUI Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact DUI Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as DUI Driving School or the Georgia DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Georgia.
I live in Georgia. Does the law say I have to enroll in both a driver ed classroom or online course and a driver training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do mandate that new, teen-aged drivers enroll in both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
Georgia's DMV has told me that I need to take a driver training course. Do you know if DUI Driving School offers this course or not?
DUI Driving School does offer the behind-the-wheel training course that Georgia requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses DUI Driving School offers, we recommend that you contact DUI Driving School directly.
Exactly what type of driver training do I need in Georgia before I can get my Georgia driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to sign up to take a safe driving classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as DUI Driving School and ask if they offer a Georgia-approved  driver training course which would fulfill Georgia's driver's education requirements.
Do I have to take a Georgia behind-the-wheel training course in order to get a driver's license?
Yes.  All drivers in Georgia must enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training course in order to receive a driver's license.  Please contact DUI Driving School for information on the types of driver training courses they offer in Georgia.
Is it possible to register for a Georgia-approved driver training course before I obtain my Georgia learners permit?
It depends on what the specific laws are in Georgia, however most states require first-time drivers to receive an instruction permit before signing up for a driver training course.  We recommend you contact a driving school such as DUI Driving School to obtain more information.
