Wncc - Alliance FAQ’s
Is wncc - alliance certified by the Nebraska DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
Although we include wncc - alliance in our directory of driving schools for Alliance Nebraska, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not wncc - alliance is licensed by the Nebraska DMV.  You should contact wncc - alliance directly and ask them if you are thinking about signing up to take their Alliance Nebraska driver training class.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to attend a professional behind-the-wheel training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does wncc - alliance have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a stick-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a manual or an automatic, you probably should call wncc - alliance to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are dirt roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if wncc - alliance will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since wncc - alliance is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that wncc - alliance will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rough terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call wncc - alliance to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you sign up with them.
Can I get my Nebraska instruction permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the youngest age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving instruction school like wncc - alliance to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Nebraska.
Do you know if the laws in Nebraska require new teen-aged drivers to successfully complete a driver training course in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to take a behind-the-wheel training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course.
Nebraska law says that I must successfully complete a hands-on driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Alliance Nebraska. Is this something that wncc - alliance can help me with?
Yes, wncc - alliance offers the Nebraska-approved hands-on driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact wncc - alliance directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Nebraska will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to sign up to take a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  wncc - alliance may be able to help you meet the driver training requirement in Nebraska.  Please contact either wncc - alliance or the Nebraska DMV for more information.
Is hands-on driver training required in Nebraska in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle?
Absolutely.  All new drivers in Nebraska must enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training course before they can get a license to independently drive a motor vehicle.
Will Nebraska allow me to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your instruction permit before you sign up with a driver training course.
