Convenience Driving School FAQ’s
How do I know if Convenience Driving School is certified by Virginia's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include Convenience Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Convenience Driving School is certified by the State of Virginia.  We recommend that you either contact Convenience Driving School directly or possibly the Virginia DMV to find out if Convenience Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Virginia?
Each state has its own rules regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for attending a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Virginia DMV to find out for sure.
Do I need to tell Convenience Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift car!  We recommend that you ask Convenience Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift automobile before you register for their driver training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads everywhere. Will Convenience Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain town, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like Convenience Driving School will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
Can I get my Virginia learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the minimum age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving instruction school like Convenience Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Virginia.
Do you know if the laws in Virginia require new teen-aged drivers to enroll in a driver training course in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to enroll in a driver training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course.
I'm required to take a behind-the-wheel training course in Cedar Bluff Virginia. Do you know if Convenience Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training classes in Cedar Bluff Virginia?
Yes, Convenience Driving School does offer defensive driving courses in Cedar Bluff Virginia.  For more information about their class schedule and how/when to sign up for one of their behind-the-wheel training courses, please contact Convenience Driving School directly.
What do I need to do to obtain a driver's license in Cedar Bluff Virginia?
It depends on Virginia's laws, but most states require new, teen-aged drivers to complete a safe driving classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  You may want to call Convenience Driving School to see if they offer the driver training course that would meet the regulations set forth by the Virginia DMV.
Is it necessary for me to sign up for a driver training course in order to get my first Virginia driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in Virginia must complete a state-approved driver training course.
Do I have to receive my learner's permit in Virginia before I am permitted to sign up to take a driver training course like the one Convenience Driving School gives its students?
Laws vary from state to state, however most states do require that you obtain an instruction permit before you can enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course like the one that Convenience Driving School gives its students.
