AABC Driving School FAQ’s
Is AABC Driving School a certified driving school in Wisconsin?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Wisconsin.  We highly recommend that you contact AABC Driving School directly or the Wisconsin DMV to find out for sure if AABC Driving School offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of Wisconsin.
Could I just have my mother or father teach me how to drive instead of paying money to take a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to complete your hands-on driver training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
What if I don't know how to operate a stick-shift automobile? Does AABC Driving School have automatic-shift vehicles that I can drive when I do my driver training?
If you're taking a Green Bay Wisconsin behind-the-wheel training class, chances are you don't know how to drive ANY vehicle yet-- manual or automatic.  However, if you prefer an automatic vehicle then you should tell AABC Driving School that prior to enrolling in the course in order to make sure they can accommodate you.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with AABC Driving School include learning how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from AABC Driving School will include handling dirt roads and mountain driving.
Now that I'm 14, will Wisconsin allow me to get an instruction permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for a learner's permit.  We recommend that your contact the Wisconsin DMV office or a Wisconsin-approved driving school such as AABC Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Wisconsin.
Can I take AABC Driving School's driver training course before taking a Green Bay Wisconsin defensive driving classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Wisconsin's laws say.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Wisconsin's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you contact AABC Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
I have to take a defensive driving course in Green Bay Wisconsin. Can I meet this requirement by signing up with AABC Driving School?
Yes, AABC Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses in Green Bay Wisconsin.  You will need to contact AABC Driving School directly to get more information on the types of courses they offer and when to sign up for a class.
What do I need to do to get a Wisconsin drivers license in Green Bay Wisconsin?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  AABC Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training portion in Wisconsin.  Please contact AABC Driving School for more information.

Is hands-on driver training required in Wisconsin in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle?
Absolutely.  All new drivers in Wisconsin are required to take an approved behind-the-wheel training course before they can get a license to independently drive a motor vehicle.
Can I register for a Wisconsin driver training course prior to having my Wisconsin learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a instruction permit before being permitted to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should contact a driving school like AABC Driving School and ask for more information.
