To take the Arizona instruction permit exam, you must be 15 years and six (6)months old.  If you are 15 1/2, but under 18, you can take the Arizona instruction permit exam to receive your Arizona instruction permit and start driving.

How long will it take for me to get my certificate of completion from Teen Driving Course after I pass the final exam?
You have several shipping options to choose from (but of course, quicker shipping will cost you more).  When you register with Teen Driving Course, you can choose one of several shipping options to receive your certificate of completion:  Standard U.S. mail at no extra cost (probably the best option unless you're in a big hurry to get your certificate), or--for an additional cost--FedEx Delivery via 3rd day, 2nd day, or Overnight. 
I now have my Arizona instruction permit. Can I start driving now?
Yes, you may begin driving if you have received your instruction permit.  However, per Arizona law, a licensed driver who is 21 years or older must occupy the front passenger seat at all times when you drive.
How long do I need to have an instruction permit before I can get my Arizona graduated drivers license?
You have to have had your Arizona instruction permit for at least six (6) months before you become eligible to receive your graduated drivers license. 

Meanwhile, you will need to log (i.e.--make a written record of) at least 30 hours of supervised driving.  Once you have completed your driving requirements, you may take the Arizona MVD drivers license examination.
Do I have to have behind-the-wheel training in order to get my Arizona drivers license?
Yes.  You will need to practice driving for at least 30 hours (10 must be at night) under the supervision of a licensed driver who is at least 21 years old before you can be eligible to receive your Arizona drivers license.  Alternatively, you may participate in a professional school driving program to get your 30 hours of supervised driving.
How much supervised driving will I have to get before I can apply for an Arizona drivers license?
In addition to completing an Arizona online driver education class, you will need to practice driving under adult supervision for at least 30 hours, 10 of which must occur at night.
Is it okay to have friends ride with me after I get my Arizona graduated driver's license?
During the first six (6) months after receiving your Arizona graduated (Class G) driver's license, you may drive with only one (1) non-family passenger who's less than 18 years old in the vehicle, however a parent or guardian who holds a valid Arizona driver's license (Class A, B, C, or D) must be seated in the front passenger seat.


Is it okay for people to ride with me after I get my Arizona drivers license?
For the first six (6) months after receiving your graduated drivers license, you are only allowed to have one (1) passenger under the age of 18 in the car unless your parent or guardian (who holds a valid Arizona Class A, B, C, or D driver's license) is seated in the front passengers seat.  This restriction does not apply to minor-aged passengers who are your siblings.
Can I drive by myself in Arizona with my instruction permit?
Absolutely NOT!  The law in Arizona requires that you be accompanied by a licensed driver who's at least 21 years old any time you drive.
