This is a list of what you will need to take with you to the DMV office when you go to take your California learner's permit written exam.
- Proof of identity
- Proof of Legal Residence
- Social Security Card (or Number)
- Proof of Auto Insurance (i.e.--your insurance card)
- Form DL400C (online driver's education certificate of completion)
You have UNLIMITED opportunities to pass Teen Driving Course's California online drivers education class final exam at no additional cost!
After you complete TeenDrivingCourse's online drivers education course, we will send you a certificate of completion (Form DL400C). You MUST bring this form with you to the DMV office when you go to take your California learner's permit written test.
If you are less than six (6) months away from turning 18, you may get your learners' permit without the driver education and driver training certificates but you won't be able to take the driving test until you turn 18.
