NEW HAMPSHIRE DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS AT-A-GLANCE:
Minimum Age for Learner Permit New Hampshire does not issue learner's permits. However when you are 15 yrs, 6 months old, you may begin to practice driving with a qualfied supervising driver (i.e.--a licensed driver who's at least 25 years old).
Learner Permit Holding Period Learner's permits are not issued in New Hampshire. You may begin to practice driving at 15 years & 6 months with a qualified supervising driver. You may apply for your first driver's license when you turn 16.
Minimum Amount of Supervised Driving 20 hours (outside of the driving practice you do in your drivers education program)
Minimum Age for Driver License 16 years

Unsupervised Driving Rules Driver's license holders who are less than 18 years old are prohibited from driving between the hours of 1:00am and 5:00am.
Passenger Rules Licensed minors may not carry more than one non-relative for the first 6 months after obtaining their license
Other New Hampshire does not issue learner's permits. At 15 years, 6 months, students can drive while supervised by a licensed driver age 25 or older. Driver education is a requirement for driver license applicants under 18
