OREGON DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS AT-A-GLANCE:
Minimum Age for Learner Permit 15 years
Learner Permit Holding Period 6 months (you must also have completed drivers education and had your 16th birthday before upgrading to a provisional license)
Minimum Age for Driver License 16 years for a provisional driver's license

Minimum Amount of Supervised Driving You must complete 50 hours of driving practice (or 100 hours if not enrolled in drivers education) outside of your driver's ed class with a qualified supervising driver (i.e.--an adult who's at least 21 years old and has had a driver's license for at least 3 years).
Unsupervised Driving Rules Provisional license holders under 18 years of age may not drive from midnight to 5 a.m. unless driving to work or school, for the first 12 months of being licensed
Passenger Rules Provisional license holders under 18 years of age may not carry any non-family passengers under age 20 for the first 6 months of being licensed. For the second 6 months of being licensed they may not carry more than 3 non-family passengers under 20. These passenger restrictions are waived if licensee is accompanied 25-year-old or older adult who's had a driver's license for at least 3 years
Other Licensed drivers under 18 years of age may not use cell phones or text-messaging devices while driving. After you turn 18, you may only use cell phones which are equipped with a hands-free device.
