Tampa Bay Driving School FAQ’s
Is Tampa Bay Driving School a licensed driving school in Florida?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Florida.  We highly recommend that you contact Tampa Bay Driving School directly or the Florida DMV to find out for sure if Tampa Bay Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of Florida.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driving school instructor like the ones they have at Tampa Bay Driving School?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the Florida DMV or a licensed driver training school like Tampa Bay Driving School to find out if Florida allows driver training with a parent.
What happens if I don't know how to operate a stick-shift vehicle? Will Tampa Bay Driving School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of car--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Tampa Bay Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are dirt roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if Tampa Bay Driving School will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Tampa Bay Driving School is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Tampa Bay Driving School will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rugged terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Tampa Bay Driving School to find out exactly what's included in their driver training course before you register with them.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I apply for my learner's permit in Florida?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Tampa Bay Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Florida.
Will I be required to sign up for both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in Plant City Florida?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to sign up for both a drivers education course as well as a driver training course.
If I need to register for a Plant City Florida driver training program, can Tampa Bay Driving School help?
Yes.  Tampa Bay Driving School offers driving courses in Plant City Florida.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Tampa Bay Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
What do I need to do to get a Florida drivers license in Plant City Florida?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Tampa Bay Driving School may be able to help you meet the behind-the-wheel training portion in Florida.  Please contact Tampa Bay Driving School for more information.

Is a driver training course required in Plant City Florida for me to get a drivers license?
The law in Florida requires that all drivers complete a behind-the-wheel training program as part of their driver education.  You should contact Tampa Bay Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Will Florida allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually receive my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you obtain your instruction permit before you register with a behind-the-wheel training course.
