Almega Safety Institute FAQ’s
Since Almega Safety Institute appears on your website, does this mean they've been approved by the Florida DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driver training schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the Florida DMV.  You may want to call Almega Safety Institute directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Do you know if I can do my behind-the-wheel training with my mother or father instead of attending a driving school like Almega Safety Institute?
Some states allow teen-agers to complete their driver training with their parents instead of attending a professional driver training school.  We recommend that you contact the Florida DMV or Almega Safety Institute directly to find out if Florida allows parent-taught driver training.
I can't operate a manual-shift. Will Almega Safety Institute allow me to complete my driver training on an automatic-shift vehicle?
We recommend that you contact Almega Safety Institute and ask them if you can do your driver training using a vehicle that has an automatic shift before enrolling in their behind-the-wheel training course.
I live in a remote area, that has a lot of dirt roads and bumpy terrain. Will Almega Safety Institute teach me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a remote area, chances are very good that a local driver training school like Almega Safety Institute will want you to be taught how to drive safely on the local area's terrain.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to apply for my learner's permit in Florida?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Almega Safety Institute to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Florida.
I live in Panama City Florida. Does the law say I have to take both a driver ed classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do mandate that new, teen-aged drivers successfully complete both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
Florida's DMV has told me that I need to take a driver training course. Do you know if Almega Safety Institute offers this course or not?
Almega Safety Institute does offer the behind-the-wheel training course that Florida requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses Almega Safety Institute offers, we recommend that you contact Almega Safety Institute directly.
What are the requirements in Panama City Florida for getting a drivers license?
It depends on your state's laws, however in many states, teen-agers must complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Almega Safety Institute may offer an approved driver training course which you could take.  Please contact Almega Safety Institute for information regarding their available classes and how to go about registering for them.
Am I obligated to take a Panama City Florida driver training course?
All drivers in Florida must take a driver training course.  You should contact Almega Safety Institute to learn more about the courses they offer.
Is it all right if I enroll in a driver training school like Almega Safety Institute prior to my receiving my learner's permit?
In most states, you are required to have already gotten your learner's permit before you enroll in your driver training course like the one offered by Almega Safety Institute.  We suggest you contact either Almega Safety Institute to find out more information.
