National Corrective Training Institute FAQ’s
Can you tell me if National Corrective Training Institute is a certified driver training school in Ohio?
Although National Corrective Training Institute is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach hands-on driving courses in Ohio.  We recommend either calling National Corrective Training Institute directly or the Ohio DMV to find out whether or not National Corrective Training Institute offers behind-the-wheel training courses that are state-approved.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driver training school instructor like the ones they have at National Corrective Training Institute?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the Ohio DMV or a licensed driving school like National Corrective Training Institute to find out if Ohio allows driver training with a parent.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will National Corrective Training Institute have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Cincinnati Ohio behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let National Corrective Training Institute know what your preference is before enrolling in their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will National Corrective Training Institute include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driving school like National Corrective Training Institute will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular area.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to apply for my learner's permit in Ohio?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as National Corrective Training Institute to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Ohio.
Can I take National Corrective Training Institute's driver training course before taking a Cincinnati Ohio drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Ohio's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Ohio's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact National Corrective Training Institute directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
I'm required to take a behind-the-wheel training course in Cincinnati Ohio. Do you know if National Corrective Training Institute offers behind-the-wheel training classes in Cincinnati Ohio?
Yes, National Corrective Training Institute does offer driver training courses in Cincinnati Ohio.  For more information about their class schedule and how/when to sign up for one of their defensive driving courses, please contact National Corrective Training Institute directly.
I live in Cincinnati Ohio. What requirements must I meet to be able to get my first Ohio driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Ohio, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  National Corrective Training Institute may offer courses which would fulfill the driver training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
Is there a law in Ohio that says I have to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Ohio requires that all teen-agers successfully complete an approved driver training course before receiving a Ohio driver's license.
Will Ohio allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your instruction permit before you register with a driver training course.
