Schwartz Driver Training FAQ’s
Since Schwartz Driver Training appears on your website, does this mean they are approved by the Ohio DMV to offer driver training courses?
The list of driver training schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the Ohio DMV.  You may want to call Schwartz Driver Training directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driver training school instructor like the ones they have at Schwartz Driver Training?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the Ohio DMV or a licensed driver training school like Schwartz Driver Training to find out if Ohio allows behind-the-wheel training with a parent.
Do you know if Schwartz Driver Training will let me complete my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a stick-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a manual OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Schwartz Driver Training and see if they can accommodate you before signing up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on unpaved roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will Schwartz Driver Training be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a rural area, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Schwartz Driver Training will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact Schwartz Driver Training directly to find out exactly what they offer.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Schwartz Driver Training or the Ohio DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Ohio.
Can I take Schwartz Driver Training's behind-the-wheel training course before taking a Westerville Ohio drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Ohio's laws say.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Ohio's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact Schwartz Driver Training directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
I am looking to register for a Westerville Ohio drivers education course. Can Schwartz Driver Training assist me with this?
Yes.  defensive driving courses are available in Westerville Ohio through Schwartz Driver Training.  Please contact Schwartz Driver Training directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
I live in Westerville Ohio. What requirements must I meet to be able to get my first Ohio driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Ohio, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Schwartz Driver Training may offer courses which would fulfill the driver training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
Is it necessary for me to sign up for a driver training course in order to get my first Ohio driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in Ohio must complete a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.
Is it all right if I enroll in a behind-the-wheel training school like Schwartz Driver Training prior to my obtaining my instruction permit?
In most states, you are required to have already received your learner's permit before you register for your driver training course like the one offered by Schwartz Driver Training.  We suggest you contact either Schwartz Driver Training to find out more information.
