Stephanie’s Auto Driving School FAQ’s
Is Stephanie’s Auto Driving School a certified driving school in Florida?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer driver training courses in Florida.  We highly recommend that you contact Stephanie’s Auto Driving School directly or the Florida DMV to find out for sure if Stephanie’s Auto Driving School offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of Florida.
Could I just have my mother or father teach me how to drive instead of paying money to enroll in a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to complete your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if Stephanie’s Auto Driving School makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....manual OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Stephanie’s Auto Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether Stephanie’s Auto Driving School can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
What happens to those of us who live in a remote area? Will Stephanie’s Auto Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driving school like Stephanie’s Auto Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular area.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Stephanie’s Auto Driving School or the Florida DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Florida.
I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Does the law say I have to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do require that new, teen-aged drivers successfully complete both a driver training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
I have to take a drivers education course in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Can I meet this requirement by signing up with Stephanie’s Auto Driving School?
Yes, Stephanie’s Auto Driving School offers defensive driving courses in Fort Lauderdale Florida.  You will need to contact Stephanie’s Auto Driving School directly to get more information on the types of courses they offer and when to sign up for a class.
I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida. What requirements must I meet to be able to get my first Florida driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Florida, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  Stephanie’s Auto Driving School may offer courses which would fulfill the behind-the-wheel training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
What does the law in Florida say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  Florida law states that new drivers enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training course as a prerequisite to getting their first driver's license.
Do I have to receive my instruction permit in Florida before I am allowed to enroll in a driver training course like the one Stephanie’s Auto Driving School gives its students?
